I have always been inspired by nature and the outdoors whether it be the beautiful colors of the ocean, a butterfly floating by or flowers in bloom. Being outside in the sunshine sends me to my happy place. I try to replicate nature’s beauty in my work and the sun shining through the glass can bring that beauty inside to be enjoyed every day.

I enjoy using iridized transparent glass because the sun creates sparkles as it passes through the piece and colors shift in hue as the daylight changes. I also like to use dichroic glass in my pieces to add interest.

As you can see, I now add bases to my work so it can sit on a shelf and not need a window to be displayed.
